The Berlin Wall, The "Fancy" Neighborhood & The Coolest Street in the World
Start your trip following the historic path of the Berlin Wall, leading down to Mauerpark. Grab ice cream in Prenzlauer Berg, walk under the colorful bunting along Choriner Straße, and hang out around the neighborhood parks surrounding a historic water tower. Later in the evening, head into a converted World War II bunker to check out its private art collection.
Spend your second day exploring Kreuzberg on foot. Stroll along the Landwehr Canal, grab pizza and beer at a casual neighborhood joint by the water, and drop into local galleries to see what the city's artists are up to.
Outskirt Bike Rides, Picnic Lunches & Stralau
Escape the city center for a day of biking through the quiet pine forests on Berlin's outskirts. Pack a simple picnic lunch to enjoy along the trail and take in the fresh air away from the urban bustle. Nearing the end of the trail, stop for cake and beer to reward yourself for a day well spent in nature.
On day four, trade the bike for walking shoes and head over to Brandenburger Tor for a tour of the area. We typically don't encourage touristy areas, but for history buffs, this area is a must. Afterwards, head over to the Stralau Peninsula for a relaxed afternoon by the Spree River, soaking up the sun along the water's edge.
Potsdam Day Trip, Museum Island & Historic Sites
Take a quick train out to Potsdam to walk through its famous historic palaces, grand gardens, and quiet avenues. Grab lunch on a terrace along Mittelstraße, then spend the afternoon admiring the unique red-brick gables of the neighboring Dutch Quarter.
Wrap up your stay in central Berlin exploring the world-class galleries on Museum Island and visiting key World War II history museums and memorials across the city. End your night at one of our favorite restaurants pictured to the right. The cozy atmosphere and unique, delicious food will have you thinking about this night for months to come.
